HH-601 Silane Treatment Agent

Silane treatment is an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient new technology for pre-coating surface preparation: it is eco-friendly, energy-saving, free of harmful heavy-metal ions, and phosphate-free. Compared with conventional phosphating, the silane process is simpler, involves a shorter process flow with fewer steps, eliminates the need for surface-conditioning, and requires no heating. The silane treatment process does not generate sludge, thereby eliminating the challenge of solid-waste disposal in the pretreatment stage and effectively extending the tank-replacement cycle, which in turn boosts productivity, reduces ongoing equipment operating costs, allows for reusable bath solutions, simplifies control, and lowers overall costs. [Product Overview]

Silane treatment is an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient new technology for pre-coating surface preparation: it is eco-friendly, energy-saving, free of harmful heavy-metal ions, and phosphate-free. Compared with conventional phosphating, it features a simpler process, a shorter flow, fewer steps, the elimination of the surface-conditioning step, and no need for heating. 
The silane treatment process generates no sludge, thereby eliminating the need for solid-waste disposal in the pretreatment stage and effectively extending the tank-replenishment interval. This leads to increased production efficiency, reduced ongoing equipment operating costs, reusable bath solutions, simplified control, and lower overall costs. 
The treated workpieces exhibit excellent adhesion to paint coatings and can be used as a pre-treatment for coating various materials, including steel and galvanized parts, thereby replacing conventional phosphating and hexavalent chromium passivation.

【Precautions】

1. Strictly control the pH value within the process specifications (especially for zinc-aluminum alloy parts). 
2. When the bath pH is less than 8.0, the adhesion between the workpiece and the coating will decrease.

 

[Test Method] 
1. The protective performance of silane coatings can be evaluated using the test methods employed for phosphating coatings, namely alkali titration and colorimetry. 
2. The silane coating on the workpiece can be tested using methods such as the cross-cut test or impact testing, and observed under a digital microscope. 
3. The continuity of the silane-treated film on metal surfaces can be assessed using X-ray fluorescence analysis or a silane treatment film detection reagent.

 

[Handling, Storage, and Transportation]

Storage: During storage at ambient temperature, the packaging drums shall be kept tightly sealed to prevent the ingress of water or other foreign matter. When stored in clean, covered, and suitable containers, this product will not present any operational, handling, or storage difficulties. Protect against freezing and avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold.
